My Favorite Things

During the last week of school we talked about the Christmas story; I read the story out of the Bible to the younger kids and had the older ones tell me the story (which they did in great detail!). After we finished reading, I had the kids write out what their favorite part of the story was and why they liked it. When they finished writing, they illustrated what they wrote.

My favourite part is the wise men. I like it becase it hase gifts on it. The wise man followd a star to get to Bethlehem. They had gifts with them. The gifts wher Gold, Herbs, and perfume.

I like the part when the wis men give ther presents, because giving presents are fun, and I think that I am giving a present to Jesus, and that the wismen give him things expencive.

I like the part when the angel came to the sheperds when they sang joy to the world and also I like the part when star was so britgh that’s why I like it. because it ment that a child is born and God is happy.

My faverate part is when Jususe was born. It was neat because a star was on top of the manger. That three really rich gies came a fare awey place and visited Jususe. And the shepherds had to live there flokes being and visite Jususe the King. And that Jesus was a king even when he was not born yet.

When angel Gabriel came and told Mary that she’s going to have a baby and is going to name him Jesus. I like it because Mary is a servant of the lord and she saw Gabriel. Gabriel came to Mary because God sent him to come and tell Mary she’s going to be Jesus and he will save us from our sin, and will be called wonderful, counsellor, mighty God everlasting father, and prince of peace.

I like the park when angels come out when shepherds was there. The reason why I like this part, I could feel how important Jesus is. Next is how greatful God is. do you think why I like this part? I like this park because it is cool that God did a mirical. I don’t know what you think but I think it would be cool!

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!" When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us." And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. ~Luke 2:13-16
